Can't help being proud of this game. At the end of Round 4 I felt like doing more was going to be hard, especially as we optimized the shit out of it and we were "done" in terms of the amount of computation we could push on this generation. Champion manages to do much more without computing much more, while also handling a lot more content. It was mostly an achievement of hygiene and understanding rather than optimization and complex techniques. That also left plenty of space for the future...

Following your blog for a while, really cool stuff, thanks for sharing. When I watched the trailers, a couple of things caught my attention: cloth simulation and bruise and blood flow system. I am really interested in real-time handling of these stuff. Do you guys have any whitepapers on these subjects? Any information would be much appreciated...
That stUff was already in round 4 and was nit changed much in champion, you shold be able to find some info in last year's gcd presentation about round 4.
